Away From Home
Stanchion presents “Away From Home,” a print anthology of poetry and prose about leaving your comfort zone and experiencing new ways of living.
Stanchion, in collaboration with editors Frances Klein and Will Klein, wants it all: the early morning when you were drafted into a friend’s paper route; a coworker’s house is covered, wall to wall, in Bernie Sanders paraphernalia; sleeping on the floor next to a wall of Louis L’amour paperbacks; the five-foot tall statue of Jesus looming in the corner of the basement; the strange new smells emanating from a friend's kitchen; or simply the jarring presence of two parents who love each other.
We’re waiting to hear your childhood stories of time spent Away From Home, when you first began to understand that other people live radically different lives.
