It's that time of year again, when little magazines like Stanchion can nominate up to six pieces of writing published in this current calendar year for the Pushcart Prize. A panel of Pushcart judges will eventually select winners and publish them in an anthology collection available in bookstores everywhere, but being nominated is an honor. As is doing the nominating.
While Stanchion is a magazine committed to the printed word, PDF downloads are now available of sold out back issues, and for the second year in a row, each of the Pushcart nominated pieces of writing are being published online in full. But first, let's take a look at the six nominees!
Now, give each nominated short story, flash fiction, and poem a read and bask in the warm glow of its literary greatness.
